City Officials Join Ribbon Cutting for New Avalon Estates Addition

New moderately-priced homes give more options to residents and people relocating to Altus

Altus, OK— July 17, 2020 —  Altus City Manager Gary Jones and Assistant City Manager Terry Mosley joined with other local dignitaries and executives from Sheryl Homes Express for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony today to celebrate the new addition to Avalon Estates in Altus.  The need for quality and more moderately-priced new homes for residents of Altus and incoming Airmen and Airwomen training at Altus Air Force Base has been a top priority for city and business leaders in Altus and especially for the leadership at Altus Air Force Base.

According to information provided by Sheryl Homes, they state that: “After much discussion within the Altus community for the need of more moderately-priced new homes, Avalon Estates was developed! David and Candace Braddock, the developers of this great new addition, are excited to fulfill this commitment to Altus Air Force Base and the Altus Community.  David and Candace are strong supporters of the Altus business community and Altus Air Force Base. They play an active role with the Altus Military Affairs Committee and enjoy promoting our community and base relationship.”

Avalon Estates includes seven different home floor plans on 38 lots with homes ranging from 1330 to 1750 square feet.  Of the eight Avalon Estate Homes that have already begun to be constructed, five of them are already completed, are now ready to sell, and buyers could move into the homes right away.

After the ceremony, Mr. Jones stated that he looked forward to the continued growth and momentum that this event shows is happening in our city.
