Colorful holiday flyer titled ā€œCops & Kids Christmas – Family Nominations.ā€ The top is decorated with candy canes, holly, and Santa hats. The flyer invites Altus residents to nominate local families for the annual Cops & Kids Christmas program. It lists details: families must live within Altus city limits, nominations do not guarantee selection, and selected families will be contacted by Detective Devin Dickerson. The deadline to nominate is Friday, November 7, 2025. At the bottom are icons and links for the nomination form and the Altus Fraternal Order of Police Facebook page, along with a red gift sack and a small holiday train graphic.

The Altus Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 120, is once again spreading holiday cheer through its annual Cops & Kids Christmas program. This year, the organization is inviting the community to help choose which families will benefit.

In previous years, the FOP selected families through nominations from DHS, law enforcement, Altus Public Schools, and local churches. For 2025, the group is opening nominations to the public, allowing residents to submit names of local families who may need a little extra help this holiday season.

ā€œEvery year, our officers look forward to this event because it’s about giving back and making sure every child has a reason to smile,ā€ said Detective Devin Dickerson, who coordinates the program. ā€œThis time, we’re giving the community a voice in deciding which families we can help.ā€

To qualify, nominated families must live within the city limits of Altus. Submitting a nomination does not guarantee selection, as the program is limited to a certain number of families. Those chosen will be contacted directly by Detective Dickerson.

The final day to submit nominations is Friday, November 7, 2025.
