The City of Altus is making progress on a major infrastructure project with the construction of a new water tower on the north side of town.
This 500,000 gallon elevated tank will become the City’s fourth water tower and will help improve water pressure, strengthen system reliability, and support continued growth across Altus, including Altus Air Force Base.
Funded in part through the American Rescue Plan Act, this project represents a strategic investment in critical infrastructure for the community.
Water towers play a key role in delivering consistent service by using elevation and gravity to maintain pressure, while also storing water for peak demand and emergencies.
We will continue to share updates as construction progresses.
