Heads up, Altus. We will conduct a scheduled storm siren test today, Monday, September 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
Quick facts
• Sirens are only activated for a tornado or an official test.
• This is an outdoor warning system. You may not hear it indoors unless you live close to a siren.
• Do not call 911 to ask about the test. Keep lines open for emergencies.
What to do
• During the test, no action is needed.
• During real weather events, move indoors, seek shelter, and monitor trusted sources for updates.

Our brother, Captain Chris Barngrover, is currently being escorted from OKC to Altus. If you would like to show your support and respects, we ask that you line the streets of the route as the procession comes through for his final ride through town. The ETA to Altus is 2 hours, so approximately 11:30am, on this date.
The procession will be from Hwy 62/East Broadway to North Main Street. Then we will be turning north on North Main Street and going to East Tamarack. We will arrive at Lowell Tims Funeral Home from there. We are asking to please NOT park in the funeral home parking lot.
